A National Scholar, an ex-Presidencian, completed M. Sc. from Calcutta University with 1st Class. He was associated with Sonarpur College and Diamond Harbour F. C. College as a Guest Lecturer of Plant Science. He has successfully accomplished Fellowship Research Programme from Kalyani University in the discipline of Botany on "Aquatic Flora of South 24 Parganas with Reference to Pollen Morphology". His Article on Ethnobotanical Information on some Marshy Aquatic Plants of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal has been published in Plant Science Today journal. His research works and paper on “Some Interesting Bladdrworts (Ultriculara L .. 24 Parganas) from 24 Parganas" has been included in the XViIl Annual Conference of Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy and International Seminar on Multidiscipinary Approaches in Angiosperm Systematics, ”Enthnobotanical Information on some Marshy Aquatic Plants of South 24 Parganas “ in National Seminar on Angiosperm Taxonomy : A Tribute to Dr Sushil Kumar Mukherjee (Botanical Survey of India) on his Birth Centenary and "Aponogetonacese of South 24 Parganas with reference to Polion Morphology - organized by Botanical Society of Bengal, Kolkata in collaboration with Dept. of Botany, University of Calcutta. He is a Ife time Member of Botanical Society of Bengal and Alumni Association of the Post Graduate Department of Botany, University of Calcutta.
